Who can see what

Private on sizuq means signed-in only. It does not mean friends only. Anyone with a sizuq account can read a private profile; someone arriving without one is asked to sign in first.

Visibility is decided in two places, and they combine generously: your profile has a public switch, and each garden has one of its own. If either is on, your writing is open to signed-out readers.

The middle row is the useful one. It lets you keep your profile on sizuq.com quiet while publishing one garden — on your own domain, say — to the world.

Only me is a status on one settled thought. It means the author alone can read it. It never appears in a profile, garden, Observatory, RSS, sitemap, search or reader analytics, even when the profile and every garden are public.

Guest Archive imports and thoughts saved with Keep for myself begin as Only me. The author can edit or delete one, or choose Publish. That opens the Reflection moment, and only a successful Publish changes it into a published drop. Sharing to other tools or networks is a separate, optional action available after publication.

Some things are invisible to everyone else regardless of any switch, and no address or link changes that.

• Drafts. Nobody but you, on any surface, at any address.
• Only me thoughts. The author alone can open them.
• Archived drops. They show only to you, with an archived mark.
• Constellation, and the collections in it.
• Whispers, and everything in your settings.

These rules are applied on the server rather than by hiding things in the interface, so they hold however the request is made.

A garden served from a domain you own is a different origin from sizuq.com, so your sign-in does not reach it. Everyone there is treated as a signed-out visitor — including you.

The consequence is worth planning around: a garden on your own domain has to be public to show anything at all. If it is private, you will find your own site asking you to sign in, at a place where signing in is not possible.
