Spaces

A space is a room that several people write into. Your own surfaces — the Observatory and your garden — are yours alone; a space is the one place on sizuq where writing is gathered by subject rather than by author.

You publish into a space by choosing it in the Details card while you write. Everything else about the drop works the same way: it is still yours, still went through its Reflection, and still lives at its own address.

A private space with no invite link is closed. Not hidden — closed. Nobody new can join it at all until its creator generates a link, however they arrived at the address.

The creator of a private space can open it with a link, and close it again. There is only ever one working link at a time, which is what makes revoking possible.

1. Generate link — the space can now be joined by anyone holding it.
2. Copy it and send it to the people you want in the room.
3. Rotate link — a new link starts working and the old one stops, immediately.
4. Disable — no link works, and nobody new can join.

You can leave a space at any time, and rejoin later on the same terms as anyone else — which for a private space means you need a working link again.

Drops you published into a space stay where they are when you leave. They remain your writing, at their own address, and on your own surfaces.
