Pages, navigation and projects

A page is standing content that is not a drop: an about page, a colophon, how to reach you. It has no date, never appears in a feed or in RSS, and does not go through a Reflection.

1. Give it a title and an address of your choosing.
2. Write it with the same editor you write drops with.
3. Publish it, or leave it as a draft while you work.
4. Optionally, have it listed in the menu.

Pages and drops share the same space of readable addresses on a garden, so both could in principle claim the same one. If that happens, the page wins.

The drop is not lost — it is still reachable at its short address, which never changes. But it will no longer answer at the readable one, which is worth knowing before you spend an afternoon wondering why.

The garden menu is built in a fixed order: your published pages that asked to be listed, then any links you added by hand. Up to ten hand-added links.

The order is deliberate. Pages are the garden's own structure; hand-added links are for sending people elsewhere — another site of yours, a shop, a profile somewhere else. A hand-added link may point outward or to a path inside your own garden, and can open in a new tab.

An articles garden can carry a showcase strip between its featured row and its article grid: the applications you have built, the companies you keep, the things you would point at if someone asked what you do. Up to twelve of them, and you choose whether the heading reads Projects or Works.

• Each entry has a title, and optionally a description, an icon and an image.
• It can lead to an address elsewhere, to one of your drops, to one of your pages, or nowhere at all if it is only meant to be named.
• Entries pointing at a drop or a page stay inside the garden rather than sending the reader back to sizuq.com.
